Let the shaadi festivities begin! Cricketer Yuvraj Singh is all set to marry actress Hazel Keech TOMORROW (November 30) in a Chandigarh Gurdwara followed by a big reception in Delhi.

With Yuvraj and Hazel having friends across many industries, you would think this wedding would be a huge affair. Surprisingly, the guest list for the wedding is small with apparently only 60 guests invited.

The wedding invites have been sent out and I got my hands on one of them. Just look at these sweets. Aren’t those the most fabulous looking sweets you have ever seen for a wedding invite? Also check out how the couple is going beyond a hashtag for their big day….instead they come up with their own league! See the initials YHPL? That stands for Yuvraj Hazel Premiere League.

Here’s the breakdown on Yuvi and Hazel’s wedding celebrations.

The couple just hosted a sangeet and mehendi function at Hotel Lalit in Chandigarh today (November 29). The Sikh wedding ceremony will be tomorrow with close family and friends.

The couple will then travel to Goa to get married again…this time in a Hindu ceremony hosted by Hazel’s family. Again this will be a small ceremony with just close family and friends. After two wedding ceremonies, the couple and their families will then head to Delhi for big wedding reception and that is where we should see the who’s who of athletes, politicians, and Bollywood stars.

Like any other wedding, this one has its own share of family drama. Yuvraj’s parents Shabnam and Yograj Singh are divorced and Yograj has since gotten remarried. In order to make things comfortable between the two, Yuvraj’s father Yograj will be attending the mehendi only. He spoke to Indian media about his son’s upcoming wedding and was all praise for his new daughter-in-law, calling her “an angel”. He also is happy that Yuvraj waited until now to get married as he feels Yuvraj is now “sensible enough to handle marriage that requires a lot of understanding and maturity.” When asked about the small wedding, he confirmed the entire family wasn’t keen on a big fat Indian wedding. “We, as a family, have always believed in simplicity. In a country where a majority of the population lives in poverty, people should spent reasonably at weddings. It is better to make donations to charitable organisations on your wedding day, instead of wasting large amounts on lavish parties.”

What other little tidbits do we know about the wedding? Well Farah Khan confirmed she choreographed the couple’s performance at their sangeet (can’t wait to see the video once I got my hands on it). We also know that Yuvraj and his mother visited Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to personally invite him to the Delhi reception. Imagine how crazy this guest list is going to be if one of the guests includes the PRIME MINISTER!!

P.S Did anyone else hear the story on how they got together? If you missed it, Yuvraj revealed in a recent interview that they had met through mutual friends and he had tried to ask her out for coffee. Hazel would reply to his text messages saying she would meet him but the day of the date she wouldn’t show up and her phone would be off. It took Yuvraj three years to convince her to go for coffee with him and of course when they finally did…they fell madly for each other. Ah the romantic in me loves it!
