AMIN DHILLON FOR NATIONAL CHAIR, NATIONAL WOMEN’S LIBERAL COMMISSION

Hi! I’m Amin Dhillon.

I’m running for National Chair, National Women’s Liberal Commission because my media background has taught me how important it is to have female representation in politics.

As a national television host and producer and founder of my own media company, I have covered elections at all levels and interviewed many political leaders. Witnessing those campaigns up close and personal has showed me how deeply politics shapes the lives of all Canadians.

I experienced first hand what it is like to enter politics as a woman when I ran for a nomination. It showed me how critical it is to have strong networks, mentorship, and institutional support. Especially for women who want to lead and run for office.

That’s why I’m running for National Chair of NWLC. Not just as a candidate but as a builder, volunteer, and leader committed to collaborating with all of the committed NWLC volunteers across the country who want to create pathways for Canadian Liberal women to participate, lead, and succeed in getting elected to public office.

Why I’m Running for National Chair

I am running for National Chair because I believe deeply in the National Women’s Liberal Commission and in the women who make it vibrant, active, and impactful across the country. The strength of this Commission comes from its volunteers, club leaders, provincial executives, and members who give their time, ideas, and energy to building our movement.

I have experienced firsthand how powerful this community can be. Through the Commission, I found my voice, built meaningful relationships, and discovered ways to make a positive impact within the Liberal movement. That experience shaped my commitment to organizing, mentoring, and creating spaces where women feel supported and empowered to lead.

I want to work in partnership with you. As Chair, I will listen to members, collaborate with provincial commissions and women’s clubs, and ensure that grassroots voices are reflected in our national priorities. I believe the best ideas come from our members, and the role of the Chair is to elevate those ideas, strengthen connections, and help turn engagement into action and policy.

Together, we can grow the Commission, strengthen pathways for women to lead, and ensure women’s voices are central to the future of our party. I am running because I believe in this community, I respect the work you do, and I want to build the next chapter of the Women’s Commission with you.

My Vision and Priorities

Strengthen National Connection

Create stronger collaboration between provincial commissions, local women’s clubs, and national leadership, ensuring members feel connected and supported across Canada.

Grow Women’s Leadership Pathways

Develop mentorship, training, and leadership pipelines to help women move from volunteer roles to executive positions, nominations, and elected office.

Elevate Women’s Voices

Use strategic communications and storytelling to highlight women’s contributions, showcase diverse leaders, and ensure the Commission’s work is visible within the party and beyond.

Build an Inclusive and Accessible Commission

Ensure women from diverse backgrounds, regions, and experiences feel welcomed and empowered to participate.

Championing Women-Led Policy

As National Chair, I want to strengthen the Women’s Commission as a hub for policy innovation. Our members, provincial commissions, and women’s clubs generate powerful ideas that should shape party policy, guide our caucus, and inform the platforms we present to Canadians. I will work to empower members to develop and advance policy resolutions, ensuring women’s voices are at the centre of the Liberal Party’s policy agenda.
