Amin in University of MB Alumni Magazine

Someone sent me this copy of the U of M Alumni magazine…I’m in it! This is cool as I just graduated from the University of Manitoba last year, so it’s great to see I’m in a magazine that highlights the accomplishments of all the grads. Not bad for being an alumni of a year!

Hello Everyone!

This week has been a busy week filled with preparing for my big trip to Toronto, finalizing media interviews and picking out my talent routine for the big Miss India Worldwide pageant. Who knew picking out a song would be so hard? There’s so many great Hindi songs but to pick the best song for a 3 min routine is so hard. Seriously every Hindi song is practically 6 or more minutes long. I think I have a great song picked out but I can’t reveal it just yet…stay tuned!

MP Shelly Glover, Amin, Minister Vic Toews

Hello! Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. We had a break in the gloomy weather to have a beautiful sunny and cloud free day on Sunday! I thought I wouldn’t see one of these days until next summer! Mom and I stopped by Shelly Glover’s BBQ and we bumped into Minister Vic Toews as well! After that, I headed to my best friend’s bbq to celebrate her recent engagement! I had a blast just sitting out in the sun with my favorite girls and catching up on some good gossip!

Hello!

This week, I attended the annual Masala Mixer, a great fundraising event to raise funds for the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg. Even though it was POURING outside, mom and I had a great time inside meeting old friends and supporting such a great cause!

I need your input! What are some fun high energy female Hindi songs? I need to put together a dance routine and I need song suggestions. Let me know if you have any!

A big thank you to Mr. Bains for sending me these images of my profile in India Today! I’ve been trying to get my hands on a copy!

I have posted the entire article under Media.  I’m definitely honoured to be named one of 16 most promising Punjabi achievers across the World!

I hope to continue to make strides in increasing awareness of women’s issues across the world and especially in India. There is still so much we can do and I hope to use my position to help improve the issues women face on a daily basis.

I’m coming to Toronto in September! I’m so excited as I LOVE Toronto! I have tons of public appearances and media interviews lined up, so keep checking back as I will be posting and tweetering the entire time I’m in Toronto. India’s Independence Day is August 15 but in Winnipeg, we had an official celebration on August 16th. It was great to see many of the same performers from Folklorama perform again on this day! Even the rain let up in time for the event and we had a beautiful sunny day to match our moods. Here is Mom and I by the beautiful stairway at the MB Legislative Building where the performances took place.

Wow! What an amazing week at the Indian Pavilion at Folklorama! I had a blast and I’m so sad to see the week has flown by. I met so many great people so here are some pictures from my week. Thank you to everyone who came up to me and said hello, I always love to meet supporters! I can’t wait for next year’s Folklorama!

This week is Folklorama and I’m at the Indian Pavilion! The Indian Pavilion has been a blast, I’ve met tons of people and fans and taken lots of photos!  Here I am with the official mascot of Folklorama!

I’ve been super busy working on my own online boutique called GP Fashion Clothing! I’m so excited for this launch as I have been working really hard on it with my amazing web designer Darren! Darren designed both this website and GP Fashion Clothing’s website….what an amazing job eh?

The website for GP Fashion Clothing is now launched at www.gpfashionclothing.com so please go check it out! We are still working on it as there is a ton of stock we need to add to it including girls wear and woman’s Indian wear but it’s so great to just see the website up and running! All of my jewelry is from GP Fashion Clothing. I found some really amazing jewelry items in my travels!
